Spitting venom with the instinct to kill
Speaking real and frankly about how I often feel
The eternal struggle we all instill and learn to deal
Chambers loaded polished down to the steel
Ready to shoot, gun cocked, fire at will
Cats speak of prophecies, but I have dreams to fulfill
Colors to paint and textures to build
Heavy rain's a' falling must remain strong-willed
Scratch of the pen let the ink spill
Detach from the mind let the thoughts fill
Each page, line
Release yourself from the confines
and whats hiding behind
Boxed in, A self design
Tearing, ripping to the other side
Now open wide those weary eyes
It's time to look alive
The clock is ticking fast
No time to catch a breath
Seconds closing in
Don't know how much I have left
But still I carry on and take another step
In hopes to progress, finally collect myself
Experience change like the seasons
The Sun's heat is beating
Drinking water cause the words I am eating
Whether flat out, hidden, or double meaning
Such a big relief from my brain they are leaving
Sitting on the sidewalk
The smell of gasoline and the sight of written thought
from the pad and paper I had brought
in hand another word I begin to jot
